The SeaLink Kangaroo Island Racing Carnival is one big party! and a ‘must do’ on the South Australian event calendar Generally around 3,000 people come to enjoythe atmosphere of great country racing, as the best horses from across the state race for the Kangaroo Island Cup. Racegoers enjoy a range of entertainment throughout the day.
Ladies you can dress to impress for the Fashions of the Field and your chance to represent Kangaroo Island at the “Fashion at The Races” competition in Adelaide. The KI Cup Carnival always attracts a stylish crowd especially as there are some great prizes up for grabs in this competition!
The Kangaroo Island Racecourse, located at Cygnet River, comes alive with great country racing on Thursday 15th and Saturday 17th February. Thursday is a casual race day, but Saturday is the main event when patrons dress up in true racing style and enjoy the Fashion on the Field competition, trackside entertainment, and the fantastic local KI food and wine.
The Kangaroo Island Cup “Long Lunch”is a real favourite and is held trackside on Saturday 17th February. Enjoy a delicious 4-course meal prepared by Sue Pearson and accompanied by a selection of great local Dudley Wines and beers. This is a very popular lunch event, so book early.

Cocktail Party at the Ozone Hotel. Starts 6.30pm. This function includes drinks and canapes. Book at the Ozone Hotel

"Punters Intermission" held at Dudley Wines Cellars 10.00am - 8.00pm.
Annual Kangaroo Island Cup Calcutta at the Ozone Hotel. This will be drawn between 8:30pm – 9pm. Calcutta tickets purchased at the Ozone.
Saturday 17th February
‘Kangaroo Island Cup’ Race Day, Kingscote. Gates open 11.00am.
