At Sea Dragon Lodge we offer a great range of food and wine options as follows:
- Superb home-cooked evening meal hampers
- These come semi prepared and generally only need to be re-heated in the oven or microwave. There is minimal or no cooking required and of course no tedious shopping.
- Continental Breakfast is supplied standard with all accommodation. Full cooked breakfast upgrades are available as an option.
- We have included a range of Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten free options on our menu.
It is important to Pre-Order all MealsWe order all our food supplies to suit specific guests requirements. It is therefore very important that you pre-order your meals at least 2 to 3 weeks prior to arrival to ensure we have your selections available. We email you a menu order form and you simply choose from our menu selections before you arrive. The Lodge does not have a restaurant, all meals need to be pre-ordered.
Most Guests Dine in Their villas for Their Evening MealsIt is not safe to drive after dark due to the large amount of wildlife on Kangaroo Island’s roads and there are no restaurants near Lodge. For these reasons, most of our guests tend to eat in at the Lodge or Villas. The Lodge does not have a restaurant, but provides delicious home-cooked evening meal hampers as a room service. It is important to pre-order hampers at least 2-3 weeks prior to arrival to ensure we have your selections.

Dudley Wines - CuttleFish BayDudley Wines is Kangaroo Island's Pioneer Winery, established in 1997. It is a boutique family-run business, which proudly produces 100% Kangaroo Island wine.
Our Cellar Door is perched atop the stunning north coast cliffs of Kangaroo Island, overlooking backstairs passage and mainland Australia. It offers visitors the chance to taste our ever-growing range of handcrafted wines, including bubbly’s, whites, reds and sweet wines. Guests can also taste an array of island produce, view exclusive artwork, and browse through our range of wool and natural fibre clothing, all in a relaxed, picturesque setting.
The Fat Beagle Café - PenneshawThe Fat Beagle is located in the township of Penneshaw and is not far from the ferry terminal. This boutique family run business provides great coffees and freshly made snacks and meals.
Specialising in contemporary, light home style meals, you are sure to find something to satisfy you. Their friendly staff are happy to help with any dietary requirements, whether it be gluten free, vegan, vegetarian or food allergies.

Enchanted Figtree – Snellings BeachStep into a fairytale, where you dine beneath the boughs and embraced by the leaves of an ancient fig tree planted by the early settlers. Over many years, the gnarled branches have touched the ground to grow again, forming enchanting rooms with ceilings of swaying leaves and dappled light. This unique dining experience is seasonal from December to April, before the leaves start to fall.

Sunset Food & Wine – Kangaroo HeadSunset Food and Wine established by acclaimed chef Jack Ingram, is modern bistro with a focus on seafood and South Australian produce. With access to so many quality local ingredients, Jack and Vanessa are working closely with food producers and growers from Kangaroo Island and South Australia, only using what is in season and what is at its very best. They also focus on great wines produced on Kangaroo Island as well as wines from further afield. Sunset Food & Wine offers a comprehensive menu and enjoys stunning views over Eastern Cove.

Rockpool Cafe - Stokes BayThe Rockpool Cafe offers a variety of delicious meals and beverage options plus ice creams.
We also offer family friendly campsites, so you can wake up and walk straight down to the beach, wade or have a snorkel in the Rockpool or take the plunge into the waves, or a surf.
Their menu ranges from a hot chips or wedges to their famous Rockpool Cafe Seafood Cone, showcasing locally caught seafood. Classic Fish & Chips might tickle your fancy or perhaps their new locally made Pate, Olive & Pita Plate? Enjoy a glass of local wine, sit back & enjoy the superb view, take a walk on one of Kangaroo Islands most beautiful beaches, then come back for Coffee & Cake or an Ice cream?
Friday nights they are open for evening meals with drink specials, Chef creates some delicious specials in addition to the every day menu & they all enjoy some tunes & the sunset together with their locals, regulars & campsite guests.

Andermel Marron CaféExperience fresh marron, Kangaroo Island’s fresh water lobster, straight from the farm These delicious crustaceans are presented as gourmet dishes by their talented chefs.
The menu offers a range of marron options with the piece de resistance being the Poacher’s Platter – a shared dish for two. It has a starter of smoked barramundi and wasabi dip followed by a selection of oven baked Andermel Marron, scallops, szechuan spiced prawns, salt and pepper squid and other tasty delights including three of the Two Wheeler Creek bush tucker sauces. However steak, chicken and ‘specials’ dishes are also always available along with a selection of tasty desserts in the display cabinet. The lemon myrtle cheesecake of Chef Amanda is exceptional.

KI Tru ThaiKI Tru Thai offer fresh produce cooked the true Thai way. They serve authentic Thai food prepared by SirintipPanya from her cultural recipes on North east Thailand. Their menu includes dishes made with wonderful local produce including pork and lamb from Essence of KI, lettuce and duck from KI Fresh and fresh Asian ingredients sourced from KI Experience. They also use local seafood and organic vegetables where possible. They have a fully licensed Bar serving the best of local and imported beers,wines and spirits.
Their $30.00 a head/kids half price, 4 course table service option which includes sweets/coffee is very popular.
